Attorney Christopher Hurlburt joined Robbins Kelly Patterson & Tucker LPA in 2025, bringing with him over 20 years of legal experience in commercial real estate matters. Christopher’s knowledge of real property law has been described as “encyclopedic,” and he enjoys using that knowledge to help the firm’s clients achieve goals that others have told them were impossible.
Christopher represents property owners, developers and investors in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions and related litigation. His work focuses on the acquisition, development, construction, financing, leasing, management, and sale of commercial property.
His broad experience includes handling the litigation and appeal of contract disputes, adverse zoning decisions, property valuation disputes, commercial evictions, and construction disputes for various office, retail, and industrial space throughout Ohio and Kentucky. He has successfully structured and insured thousands of commercial real estate transactions, including complex matters involving air rights leaseholds, railroad rights-of-way, and solar utility easements and leaseholds.
Helping clients navigate legal and practical roadblocks to make a complex deal come together gives Christopher great satisfaction. Known for his thorough and fair-minded approach, Christopher is generous with his time when dealing with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel. He understands that building relationships and fostering trust is foundational to the success of these high-stakes transactions.
Christopher’s experience as a title insurance agent is a significant benefit to the firm’s clients, offering them greater insight into the practical effects of potential title issues and the most effective ways to address them without sacrificing the deal in the process.
A native of Cincinnati, Christopher married his high school sweetheart; they now live in New Richmond with their two beautiful daughters and a menagerie that includes two horses, five goats, one donkey, four cats, and two of the most spoiled dogs in the state. Christopher is also a classically trained pianist with a weakness for pop music. And while he takes his work very seriously, Christopher confesses to a love of terrible puns; like a scarecrow, his goal is to be outstanding in his field.
