Overview
Our firm is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Real Estate Attorney with 10+ years of practice to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated real estate transactions and work closely with clients on a wide range of commercial and residential matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and related contracts
- Conduct due diligence, including title review, surveys, and zoning analysis
- Advise clients on real estate development projects and land use matters
- Collaborate with lenders, title companies, developers, and opposing counsel
- Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as needed
- Contribute to client development and business growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Ohio (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate law
- Strong experience with commercial real estate transactions
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines
- Strong client service orientation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Portable book of business (preferred but not required)
- Experience with development projects, zoning, and land use
- Familiarity with title and survey review processes
